Warm rain before dawn. The small hours sat near 70° and wet, the air so full that it stuck to everything, and the rain kept on in a steady fall. Daylight came without any brightening. The rain eased and returned through the morning and by one in the afternoon the air had cooled to near 58° under a sky that stayed shut. Toward evening it came down harder, the heaviest of the day around 9pm, wind pushing it sideways in stiff gusts before it settled into a long soaking dark.
