Rain through the small hours and no break in it. The air sat near 76° and felt heavier than that, the kind of warm wet that clings to a shirt. Grey light came late. The rain kept its slow steady pace all morning and into the afternoon, never hard, never gone. Then stiff gusts drove it sideways for a while. Near 7pm it stopped. The cloud stayed shut over everything and the air eased only a little as the dark settled in.
