Grey from the start. The small hours sat near 40° under a full lid of cloud and the air was thick with damp. After dawn a southwest wind got up and never let go. The day warmed quickly for the season, near 52° by eleven in the morning, with strong gusts through the afternoon. Nothing fell from the sky. The cloud only thickened. Oddly the evening was the mildest part, the air a shade warmer at bedtime than it had been at eleven in the morning and the wind still pushing.
