Fog and calm through the small hours, the air feeling near 24°F and the damp complete. It held all morning. Then around noon the fog thinned and the sun came through for a while, the air warming to near 32° by mid-afternoon and the damp easing for an hour or two. It did not last. The fog closed in again before dusk with the wind still at nothing, and the evening sank toward 23° as it thickened.
