Grey from the start. Low cloud sat over the airfield all day, with a raw wind out of the west that blew hard around midday and made the air feel cooler than its 60° or so. The cloud thickened through the afternoon until it was a lid. Rain began after dark, a light steady fall near 8pm that kept on past midnight while the crowd was still in the field.
