A clear cold start, near 35° in the small hours with the sky open and the air damp on the skin. Cloud built through the morning and by 10am it had shut the sky. The afternoon held near 47° under that flat grey, mild enough for a jacket left open. Around 5pm the cover tore for an hour and let the low sun through. Then it closed again and the wind found its strength, blowing hard by late evening and pulling at coats and rattling anything loose.
