Cold and still before dawn, the air near 8° with cloud low over the valley. A little snow fell around breakfast, fine and brief. Then the cloud thinned and by late afternoon the sun was on the slopes, the air up near 27° and hardly a breath of wind. It felt almost mild after the morning. The cloud came and went through the late afternoon. Evening cleared and the cold settled back in fast, near 13° by late.
