Cold in the small hours for April, the air near 36° and an east wind making it feel colder. The sky was covered. It opened briefly around dawn and the first light came through gaps, then the cloud closed again. The day warmed slowly under it and reached near 60° by 4pm, with the wind easing as the afternoon wore on. The evening went calm. Late on the cloud began to break apart and the stars came out over a cooling city.
