Light snow in the small hours, from about 1am until dawn, the air near 4° under low cloud with hardly a breath of wind. The morning cleared to fog and then to broken sky, and the air rose slowly to near 18° by mid-afternoon. Snow came back near 4pm, heavier for a couple of hours, and settled without hurry. The dark came early and a few flakes were still falling near midnight.
