Snow through the small hours, steady and thick, the air near 7° and the wind pushing it sideways off the lake. It never stopped. The day brightened to a white glare without the cloud ever breaking, and the air crept up to near 17° by mid-afternoon with a strong wind and the snow still coming, inches of it by the end. Evening thickened it again and the cold came back down with the dark.
