Cold for August. The small hours sat near 50° under low cloud with a west wind already gusting. The cloud burned off by late morning and the afternoon was bright and blustery, the air near 61° and the wind strong off the water. It felt colder than that in the wind. Toward evening the cloud rolled back in and the temperature slid, raw after dark with the wind still working.
