Rain on and off from before dawn, the air near 50°F and a south wind rising through the morning. It never let up for long. By late afternoon the wind was hard and the rain came harder with them, sideways down the streets and pooling at every corner. The heaviest fell in the early evening. Then the wind dropped almost at once and the rain thinned, everything dripping in the dark.
