Cool for August. The small hours sat near 56° under heavy cloud and the air was damp without quite raining, though a few drops found the ground around dawn. Late morning a north wind came up and began to shred the cloud. By mid-afternoon the gusts were pushing hard and the sky was mostly blue, the air near 57° and feeling colder in that wind. The sky kept clearing as the evening went on. By the last hour it was nearly empty overhead and the cool had come back.
