Drizzle in the small hours, warm and soft, the air near 75° and the cloud sitting on the rooftops. It stopped before dawn but the grey stayed. The day warmed slowly under it to near 78° by mid-afternoon, the air heavy and the light flat, a few more drops falling near 4pm without amounting to anything. Nothing lifted. Evening came down close and damp, the air hardly cooler than the afternoon.
