Rowing begins on Lake Lanier at the Atlanta Olympics

Cloud over the lake through the night, the air near 84°F. The morning warmed fast under an open sky, and a little before noon the rain started, heavy from about noon to 2pm with the air dropping into the mid-80s, then lighter showers through the afternoon. It stopped by 4pm. The sun came straight back. The late afternoon was the worst of it, near 95° with no shade on the water. Cloud closed over late and the night stayed hot.
