Cold and clear before dawn, the air feeling near 5°F with a steady wind that made it bite harder, stars all the way to morning. Cloud came with the light. By mid-morning the sky was shut and the day warmed slowly under it, the wind dying away through the early afternoon until the air sat near 19° by mid-afternoon, grey and still and dull. The ceiling thinned a little toward dusk. Evening held near 17° under broken cloud, the cold settling back in as the dark came down.
