Low cloud from the first hour, the air near 63°F and so damp that the morning came up more like fog than daylight, grey and close and still. It never rained. The cloud held through midday and the air climbed slowly under it to near 68° by mid-afternoon, a stiff breeze getting into the park without lifting anything, the sun only a brightening of the grey now and then. Mild and dull. After 9pm the cloud finally went and the night came clear, the air easing toward 58° under the first stars of the day.
