Bitter for April. The small hours were clear and near 20°F, the air thin and hard, and as the light came the wind got up behind it. By mid-morning it was blowing hard and it did not stop, gusts leaning on the city through the whole afternoon under a sky with only a few clouds in it, the sun bright and no use at all, the air feeling near 25° in the wind. It eased a little after dark. The evening stayed clear near 30° with the wind dropping slowly toward midnight.
