Cold and clear before dawn, the air near 2° with a west wind that made the streets empty. The sun rose bright and did little. Cloud rolled over around eleven and the afternoon sat near 16° under it, the wind still gusting stiffly and the cold finding every gap. By dusk the sky was breaking up again. Evening was clear and sharp and the wind finally fell away, the cold settling in for the night.
