A grey lid over everything from the small hours on. The air sat near 52° and a steady breeze out of the east made it feel cooler than that. Dawn brought light but no sun. The cloud stayed thick and the day only reached near 60° by mid-afternoon, with the wind still nagging at coats. The damp came up as the light went. After 7pm the cloud began to thin and the breeze fell away, the air settling back toward where it had started.
