Hot and overcast through the night, near 86°. The heat built under the cloud all morning and by noon the air felt like 101°, airless and heavy, and then the sky broke. A thunderstorm hit around 2pm with hard rain and a fall to about 81°, more rain through the late afternoon and thunder again near six and seven, the track flooded. Showers kept on into the night.
