Clear and cold in the small hours, the air dry and falling. By 8am it was near 33° with frost in the shadows and the sun only just clearing the mountains. Then it warmed fast. The afternoon reached near 65° under a sky without a cloud in it, the light hard and the air so dry it cracked the lips. A breeze came up from the west and went again. Evening cooled quickly and the cold came back with the dark.
