Some stars at midnight and then none. Cloud closed over by 3am and never left. The small hours cooled toward 65° with the air so wet the grass stayed soaked past breakfast. Warmth built under the grey lid through the morning and into the low eighties by afternoon. The damp went with it and sat heavy on the skin. Hardly any wind. Nothing fell all day but it felt as if it might at any hour. Evening cooled only a little, the air thick enough to taste.
