Walt Disney World Opening Day

Warm even before the light, the air near 78°F and damp on every surface. Dawn came clear. The sun climbed into an empty sky and by mid-afternoon it was near 93°, a wet heat that sat on the shoulders and made the shade the only place worth standing. A few clouds drifted over late in the day and gave nothing. Evening cooled slowly toward 84° and the air stayed thick into the dark.
