Mild and close before dawn, the air near 55° under a low sky. Rain came in around 4am and fell hard for a couple of hours, then quit before the light was full. The cloud never lifted. Even so the afternoon warmed into the upper sixties and a south wind leaned on the day. Toward evening the rain returned with more behind it. By the last hours it was coming down steady and the wind had turned rough, hard gusts rattling anything loose.
