Snow came in the early dark on a north wind that gusted past 30mph and did not let up all day. By breakfast it was falling as hard as it would, thick and sideways, and the air felt near 23°. The city went white and quiet under it. Around noon the snow thinned and by early afternoon the sky was clear, sun on every roof and the wind still cutting. It stayed clear. The cold deepened fast once the light went, down near 13° by late evening under stars.
