Rain and a gale at midnight off the sea, the air near 36°. The rain thinned toward dawn but the wind did not. All day it blew, with showers coming and going and the air feeling near 24°, then a snow shower in mid-afternoon and a hard squall near 6pm that dumped rain sideways. Cloud came and went in the wind. Evening closed over grey and the gusts eased only a little after dark.
