Soft and still before dawn, the air near 56° with cloud drifting in patches over the stars. Morning warmed steadily and the sky thinned out for a while, sun coming through toward midday. Then at 1pm the cloud shut over completely and stayed that way through the afternoon, the air near 70° under it. Barely a breath of wind all day. The lid broke apart again late in the evening and the sky cleared, mild and quiet.
