Warm and wet through the small hours, the air near 85° and the trade wind light. Dawn was clear. The heat built fast and by early afternoon it was near 93°, an east wind doing little more than moving it around. Cloud gathered toward evening and thickened after dark. The air eased only to near 86° and stayed heavy into the night.
