Rain in the small hours with a hard west wind behind it driving it against shutters. By 2am the rain had stopped and the wind dropped almost to nothing. The sky opened before dawn, then low cloud sat over the city through the first light. It broke by 9am and the rest of the day was open and mild, sun on wet stone and the air near 58°F. Hardly a stir of wind. Evening came clear and the warmth went with the light.
