Elton John’s last British show

Clear and mild before dawn, the air near 59°F with the sky empty from horizon to horizon. The sun came up into it and went straight to work. By midday the air sat near 74° under a sky with hardly a cloud, a wind building through the early afternoon until the gusts were pulling at everything. Then cloud rolled over. It sat low and heavy for a couple of hours around 4pm and tore away again by dusk, the evening clear and cooling fast, near 60° as the light went and the wind eased.
