Damp cold that never changed its mind. The small hours sat near 21°F with the air heavy on the skin and the cloud coming down to meet it by 4am. Daylight arrived grey and raw. Late in the morning the cloud thinned and a pale sun showed through it for a few hours, lifting the air only to 27°. By 2pm the lid was back. Wind stayed light. The dark came early with the cloud down low again, the air sticking to wool and skin alike.
