Damp cold that never changed its mind. The small hours sat near 21° with the air heavy and close on the skin and the cloud coming down to meet it by 4am. Daylight arrived grey and stayed grey. Afternoon barely lifted the air to near 27° and the sky was one unbroken lid over everything. Wind stayed light. Evening kept the same damp chill, the cloud holding low as the dark came early and the air stuck to wool and skin alike.
