Grey and cool at first light, the air near 59° and wet under low cloud. The morning warmed slowly under it. By early afternoon the air was near 75° and the cloud had thickened rather than thinned, heavy and dark and promising rain that never came. Nothing fell. Evening was cool and damp, the cloud breaking up after dark and the air settling back toward where the morning began.
