Grey and cool at first light, the air near 59°F and wet under low cloud. The sun worked through after 9am and the late morning came and went between cloud and light. By early afternoon the air was near 75° and bright, the breeze stiffening. Then the cloud thickened and at 4pm the rain came, steady and heavy for an hour, the ground running with it. It stopped before dark. Evening was cool and damp under a low sky, the air settling back toward where the morning began.
Close to what instruments recorded. The Jomo Kenyatta International station, 7 mi away, recorded no rain that day, where the model above shows some. Where they differ, trust the station.
