Grey from the small hours on, the air near 47° and the cloud low and unbroken. It did not lift all day. Even so the afternoon warmed to near 71° under the lid, the air dry and the light flat, a breeze from the north keeping it from feeling close. Nothing fell. Evening came down grey and quick and the air cooled toward 49° by late.
