Cool and grey in the small hours, the air near 56° under low cloud. Morning stayed covered and the warmth built slowly beneath it. A stiff north wind rose mid-morning. Then at 1pm the cloud pulled apart and the sun came through with force, pushing the air into the low eighties by late afternoon. The wind fell away. Evening was clear and warm with the last cloud gone.
